周りの街も店内も静か
日本語堪能なスタッフの方が
説明してくれながら一煎目のお茶を入れてくださいます
ニ煎目からは自分で自由に
パイナップルケーキも美味しくて
時がゆっくり流れていました

This Japanese house, originally home to a Japanese professor at National Taiwan University, has been turned into a teahouse and gallery.

The surrounding area and the interior are quiet.
Staff, fluent in Japanese, explain the process as they brew the first cup of tea.
From the second cup onward, you can make your own. The pineapple cake was delicious, and time seemed to pass by slowly.

台湾　マンダリンオリエンタル台北

豪華絢爛、エレガントで重厚なインテリアにうっとり
そしてまたお食事が美味しすぎました
ディナーのミシュラン一つ星中華「YAGE（ヤグ）」は今での中華の中で一番くらい感動でした
朝食はビュッフェでまた美味しい。
特に黒に金の饅頭は中から塩キャラメルカスタード、ストロベリークロワッサンは中から苺ソースがトロっと、、、
めちゃ美味しかったです

Gorgeous, elegant, and stately interior is stunning.
And the food was delicious.
Dinner at the Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant "YAGE" was the most impressive Chinese restaurant I've had so far.
The breakfast buffet was also very good.
The black and gold buns, especially the one with salted caramel custard inside, and the strawberry croissant with its creamy strawberry sauce inside...
They were absolutely delicious.

📍 National Taichung Theater, Taichung, Taiwan
台湾　台中国家歌劇院（台中メトロポリタンオペラハウス）

日本人建築家の伊東豊雄氏が設計した建物が斬新！
「美しい音の洞窟」がコンセプト。
中は直角となる壁面が一ヵ所もなくて、壁や穴など曲線の連続。支柱となる柱もないそうです。
外観もインパクトあるし。
美しくて面白くて、ずっと見てられました。
時間があったら眺めのいいカフェに入ってゆっくりしたかったです。

This innovative building was designed by Japanese architect Toyo Ito.
It is based on the concept of a "beautiful cave of sound."
Inside, there isn't a single right-angled wall, and it's a continuous series of curved walls and holes.
It's beautiful and interesting.

ジブリの次はハリーポッターの世界！

台中でマストのスポット宮原眼科は
もとは1927年に日本人の眼科医・宮原武熊氏が開業した病院でした。
閉鎖されていたこの歴史的建造物を
パイナップルケーキで有名な日出グループがリニューアル
人気インスタ映えスポットになっています
インテリアもお菓子もパッケージも美しい！

⑦　人気のアイスクリームサンデー
シングルを頼んだけど3スクープ入ってる？
シングル頼んだんだけど？っていったらサービスだよ、って。
台湾の人はあちこちで優しかったです

映える見た目のアイスクリームはバター・乳化剤・安定剤・卵黄・色素・香料すべて不使用の無添加だそうで
意外にもヘルシー系、ほどよくさっぱりな美味しさです。

⑩～⑭　2階はミシュランビブグルマン掲載の中華レストラン「酔月楼」
初め来た時満席だったので、予約して別の日に再訪しました。
カラスミチャーハンはカラスミの存在感がすごい
アイスクリームサンデーもまたいただいちゃいました。ダブルです🍨
美味しくておしゃれです。予約した方がいいと思います。

After Ghibli, it's time for the world of Harry Potter!

Miyahara Eye Clinic, a must-see in Taichung,
was originally a hospital opened by Japanese ophthalmologist Miyahara Takekuma in 1927.
This closed historic building was renovated by Hinode Group, famous for its pineapple cake,
and has become a popular Instagram spot.
The interior, sweets, and packaging are all beautiful!

⑦ Popular ice cream sundae
I ordered a single, but does it include three scoops?
When I asked, "I ordered a single," they said it was complimentary.
Taiwanese people are so kind everywhere.

This eye-catching ice cream is additive-free—no butter, emulsifiers, stabilizers, egg yolks, colorings, or flavorings.
It's surprisingly healthy and refreshingly delicious.

⑩-⑭ ２F is Michelin Bib Gourmand-listed Chinese restaurant, Suigetsurou.
It was fully booked the first time we visited, so we made a reservation and returned another day.
The dried mullet roe fried rice had a strong presence of dried mullet roe.
I also had the ice cream sundae again.
It was delicious and stylish restaurant. I recommend making a reservation.

400坪ほどの敷地の中に建てられた茶芸館
古い日本式と中国式が融合された建物が素敵でタイムスリップしたかのよう
ここもジブリっぽくないですか？
ウエディングフォト撮影もされてたくらい素敵な所でした

そしてお茶はもちろん、素朴に見えるお菓子がとっても美味しかったです👍

This tea house is located on a site of roughly 1330 ㎡.
The building, a beautiful blend of old Japanese and Chinese styles, is reminiscent of Ghibli.
Wedding photos were also taken here.

The tea and sweets were delicious.👍

📍勤美術館　CMP Inspiration
Taiichung, Taiwan 🇹🇼

台中は面白い建築がたくさん
日本人建築家の作品も多いです

こちらは2024年12月にオープンした隈研吾さん設計の美術館
テーマは「大地をめくる」
緑、木、水、岩など自然素材が使われていて、流れるような曲線が軽やかな感じでした

6枚目の椅子は佐藤オオキさんのnendoの作品です

Taichung is home to many interesting buildings, including many works by Japanese architects.

This is the Kengo Kuma-designed art museum, which open in December 2024. Its theme is "Turning the Earth."
The museum is filled with greenery, natural materials like wood, water, and rock. The flowing curves create a light and airy feel.

📍Rainbow Village, Taichung, Taiwan
台湾　台中　彩虹眷村

紅爺さんと呼ばれる黄永阜さんが住んでいた村を鮮やかに描いたアートな村

一部は破壊されて他の人の絵も混じっていたりしますが、オリジナルの絵がやっぱりすごく可愛いくてパワーを感じました

紅爺さんは去年100歳で亡くなられました

This artistic village vividly depicts the village where Huang Yongfu, known as Grandpa Rainbow, lived.

Some parts have been destroyed and other artists' paintings have been added, but the original paintings are still incredibly cute and powerful.

Grandpa Rainbow passed away last year at the age of 100.
